what to expect
At your first appointment, a full health consultation will take place. This will include a comprehensive look at your health as well as what you wish to achieve from Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture.
You will be asked to sign an 'Informed Consent' form. This will be provided to you prior to your initial appointment.
During each treatment, arnica gel will be applied to the face to help reduce the potential for bruising.
Fine needles will be inserted into various points on the face, neck and head. This will be in addition to points used on the body - due to acupuncture being a holistic treatment.
After the needles have been in for a specified amount of time, they will be carefully removed. There can be some bleeding and/or bruising. However, this isn't very common.
Following on, a serum will be applied to the face. I prefer to use Tropic Supergreens. If you wish for me to use an alternative, please speak to me before your appointment.
I will then use a jade gua she tool along with facial cupping on areas of the face and neck.
how many treatments?
It is recommended to have a minimum of 12 sessions. Appointments should take place at least once per week however, they can be twice a week.
It is important to be consistent with the frequency of treatments to allow for the best results.
At the end of your course of treatment, it is advisable to return for 'maintenance' sessions. The frequency of which will be decided upon at this time.
